from marie: Interesting perspective, i think we might have some themes in common. it made me think of the text by Susan Buck-Morss ''Aesthetics and Anaesthetics: Walter Benjamin's Artwork Essay Reconsidered.'' and of course also Hito Steyerl's ''Mean Images''.

Great paper! - I was wondering if thinking about realism would be relevant for you? E.g. how does the construction/production of images that you write about reflect + relate to other ways of producing reality? E.g. statistics, economic models, finance, algorithmic profiling, spin politics. To what extent are you discussing a kind of generative realism? And from this, which observer/reader models does it allow for? Obviously you mention forensics and investigative aesthetics...
