It looks like we will need a German sim to use the mobile hotspot if there is no Ethernet connection available or if the wi-fi/network there blocks the use of the VPN. If there's no further info about network connection at the venue, we will probably go ahead and get a German sim for the mobile hotspot tomorrow morning.
