it seems the image cannot show properly? wondering which image you have chosen :)

I am wondering how AI serves as a further reflection? What forms of new reflection might be needed? and what it means by new aesthetics (as what you said it is based on existing training input and style, then what is new with the aesthetics?) Siusoon (talk) 10:51, 29 January 2024 (UTC)

from marie: Interesting perspective, i think we might have some themes in common. it made me think of the text by Susan Buck-Morss Aesthetics and Anaesthetics: Walter Benjamin's Artwork Essay Reconsidered. and of course also Hito Steyerl's Mean Images.

Realism...

Great paper! - I was wondering if thinking about realism would be relevant for you? E.g. how does the construction/production of images that you write about reflect + relate to other ways of producing reality? E.g. statistics, economic models, finance, algorithmic profiling, spin politics. To what extent are you discussing a kind of generative realism? And from this, which observer/reader models does it allow for? Obviously you mention forensics and investigative aesthetics... (Søren)
